Our Mission
ProtonVPN was founded in 2017 and is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. Our mission is to create a more privacy-focused internet where everyone can access network information freely and securely.
As part of Proton Technologies AG, ProtonVPN together with Proton Mail forms the world's largest encrypted ecosystem. We believe that privacy is a fundamental human right that should not be compromised.
Our team consists of scientists and engineers from CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research), bringing world-class technical expertise to the field of privacy protection, providing users with military-grade security.
